On the northwest coast of Spain in Deià, the hometown of Barcelona-born artist Joan Miró, the Belmond La Residencia will be mounting a solo exhibit of 33 original Miró works on loan from the artists’ family. Opening on September 8, the exhibition includes important works such as the 1990 lithograph and Paysanne aux oiseaux, the 1970 etching and aquatint Archipel sauvage V. The exhibition represents the largest exhibition of original work by Miró to ever be displayed in a hotel and will run through to the end of 2017.
